2003 1966.0993.026 Plate printing wood block; metal plate.     James Bros. Foundry Canada Ontario Perth 1921   after   26 Metal (copper ?) plate mounted on hardwood block. George James and D. Reid operated a foundry machine and hardware shop at 2 Gore St. E. Perth ON c. 1910 and were able to manufacture sell and repair many of their own products. Lawrence James later joined the company: after 1921 it became known as James Brothers. (ref. 2) Carries 2-dimensional image to be reproduced by a printing press. Printing plate found with others depicting 'James Bros. Foundry' products. May have been mfd. by James Bros. as part of their hardware line.
